We’re proud to celebrate a fantastic achievement for the Strategic Solutions team at the Money Marketing Young Financial Planner Awards 2025, with two major wins and two shortlists recognising our rising stars in financial planning.

Rachael Martin was awarded Young Paraplanner of the Year, a well-deserved award that reflects her dedication, diligence, and attention to detail. The judges praised Rachael’s outstanding technical knowledge and her ability to nurture others, qualities that define her leadership.

Jon Hickson was named Young Financial Planner of the Year (South East & West), an achievement that highlights his passion, professionalism, and commitment to delivering exceptional financial planning for our clients.

We were also proud to see Jamie Haines shortlisted for Emerging Talent of the Year Graduate Trainee, Dan Lock shortlisted for Paraplanner of the year and our entire Planning Team shortlisted for Young Financial Planning Team of the Year.

To have four individuals and a full team recognised is a great achievement and a testament to the depth of talent and dedication within our paraplanning team

Our team, led by Head Paraplanner Rachael Martin serves as the firm’s training and technical hub, where apprentices, placements, and graduates build their financial planning skills and professional qualifications.

Under Rachael’s leadership, the team has already produced one of the UK’s youngest Chartered Financial Planners and three fully qualified advisers under the age of 25, proof of the measurable impact of her mentorship and the firm’s commitment to developing new talent.

The Young Financial Planner Awards celebrate the rising stars of the financial planning profession, from graduate trainees and paraplanners to advisers and specialist teams,  recognising those bringing fresh thinking, passion, and innovation to the industry.

With the financial advice sector facing a generational shift, and many experienced advisers due to retire in the coming years, initiatives like the Young Financial Planner Awards 2025 play a vital role in championing young professionals who are shaping the future of financial planning.
